Okay; it worked. Thanks.
The major question:
I recently had a system glitch that somehow renamed much of my music files, ie if you select a tom petty tune, with tags showing petty, a bing crosby tune plays. i was hoping jaikox would rename and retag the files correctly via the audio fingerpirnt. I think i got it to access the web as it gave me an activity bar and said it had looked up and corrected the 5 test files i gave it. But it didn't look like it did anything: merged and edit screens were unchanged, and the files exhibited the same problem. Don't know what to try. IS there something i should look for to be sure that it's checking the audio data base? Some switch? HELP!

Minor question: I told Jaikoz to fill the screen and now i can't shrink the window? Is this a bug?
Thanks
Thank your for your reply. I am very pleased that you are so quick to fix things and a release on Monday means I can still try it out during my trial period Also I am happy to see PUID's support because of the accuracy. Keep up the good work
Hi, its me again (the first poster). I was just wondering if anyone had taken a look at what might be causing my problem? This is because my links are about to expire and I would like to know if I should upload them again or just let them expire. I really want to make this application works since I find it so nice. Now should I re-upload the files once the links have expired? And has anyone any ideas that might be of help?
I came by Jaikoz some days ago and thought it sounded interesting. Therefore I decided to test the capabilities of Jaikoz out on a very messy MP3 collection (about 1400 MP3's), which not only is tagged bad but also has a mix of known and unknown artist's. This turned out to be a bigger task then first thought because of a problem. Jaikoz did not report any of the MP3 files corrupt (and I have checked with other programs to make sure they aren't), yet seems to Freeze a little over half way when tagging from MusicBrainz. It gives several pop-ups with the message "Unexpected Error" and then stops going through the file. Jaikoz itself is still functional and does not seem to be affected after I have to end the MusicBrainz tagging (by clicking on the finish button). I tried this several times and the last 2 times I saved the log files (I deleted them in between testing so that there are 1 set of the log files for each try). I couldn't find how to attach the files here so I added them through a link (the RAW mode is pure text like the original log file). Here they are:

First try (jaikozuser0-0.log) (RAW)
First try (jaikozdebug-0-0.log) (RAW)

Second try (jaikozuser0-0.log) (RAW)
Second try (jaikozdebug-0-0.log) (RAW)

I really find Jaikoz to be a very nice tag editor and therefore I hope we can resolve this issue quickly so that I could fully test Jaikoz before my trial license expires.

PS. As I understand it Jaikoz uses TRM to identify music from MusicBrainz, when will there be a release that supports PUID's?
I have the exact same problem and I am not running 64bit.

I changed the jaikoz.bat file from -|1 to -l7, but still nothing in the log.

I am running Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_10-b03)

My system has a fresh Windows XP build. The only strange thing about my system is that Windows is installed on the d: drive. I do not have a c: drive.

I have purchased a Jaikoz license. I had it working but since my new Windows install it no longer want to run.

Please advise.
Hi... I bought your software a few weeks ago, actually I am so happy with it, great work!
Anyway, I have a problem with a few files in my library, where jaikoz stops saving and says:
"PM: WARNING: null"
and this is the log file:

Did you download it again ? Please try the following to ensure you download is not getting corrupted

Download md5 to create a checksum for the the file, I used the md5sums program available at http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/, unzip and install.

Then run against your zipfile, you should get the same value for the checksum as below, let me know how you get on.

C:\Apps>md5sums d:\download\Jaikoz.zip

MD5sums 1.2 freeware for Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP+
Copyright (C) 2001-2005 Jem Berkes - http://www.pc-tools.net/
Type md5sums -h for help

[Path] / filename MD5 sum

Any ideas?
Sorry - I deleted my files before I read this post, but I can tell you that there is a problem with some files that have corrupt images. It exits in an inellegant way .
I had a similar error. This seemed to be a problem on my Mac, where LONG band names with LONG album Names, and LONG song names, combined to make a few tracks unsavable, as the resulting path was just too long. I fixed by using the iTunes-style convention of Artist/Album/Title.mp3 style naming.

One more fix, I'd like to see is a more graceful and tolerant exit strategy while importing. I had a few files with broken PNGs, and this aborted the loading of folders. There should be some way to report the error, but keep going.

I really am enjoying the power of this thing overall.
I was having trouble installing Jaikoz on my system. When I ran the installer, it would unpack just fine, but then when the sun-style splash screen came up, after just one or two bars, a dialog would pop up telling me "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported, Unable to load and to prepare the installer in GUI mode."

After a little research, I found out that the ZeroG installer has a bug. If your Windows username contains special characters (mine contains !), then it will cause this error.

I simply right clicked the installer and chose "Run as..." and used a different account to install. (If you do this, make sure you install everything for all users.)

Just thought someone else might have run into this problem.
