I ran into the crashing bug as well when I registered. 32 bit solved it. But you might want to add this to the outgoing license email as it's a real annoyance right after paying for the software.

Not the Apple experience.

True, but this is a new issue specific to OSX 10.5.8 due to a some bug in Apples JVM, not an issue with Jaikoz itself. Ive added it to the FAQ as issue 5 http://www.jthink.net/jaikozforum/posts/list/1246.page#4986

Have you tried the Open in 32 bit Mode workaround, if still not working contact me by email and I'll check the license.
